For twenty-three years, Dodge’s permanent exhibit space was the Amos Eno Gallery in New York City. Her work appears in many private collections, both nationally and internationally including the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington D.C. and Artpool in Budapest Hungary. Her work has also appeared in New York Magazine and Fiberarts and Sculptors International. Regionally, she is a professional member of the the Guild of Adirondack Artists, the Adirondack Pastel Society, and a former Director and current member of the Oakroom Artists, a collective of artists since 1956.
Ms Dodge’s education includes a BS in Art Education from Nazareth College of Rochester, an MFA with Distinction from Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C., and two years of additional graduate study in art history at the State University of New York in Albany. Since 2008, she has studied pastel painting with Doug Dawson, Albert Handel, Pat Tribastone, and Robert Carstens.
Among her many honors is the distinction of being selected for a fellowship at the Millay Colony for the Arts. She also received a Special Opportunity Grant from the New York Foundation for the Arts and, in 2002, she was awarded a New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Grant through the Saratoga County Arts Council. Dodge is the recipient of the 2003 Award in oil painting from the Cooperstown National juried art exhibit. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Sacandaga Valley Arts Network (2004-2008) and has received grants to teach painting and drawing in upstate New York. In 2009, Dodge was awarded an artist grant from the Saratoga County Arts Council. She was also awarded best Landscape in the 2010 Central Adirondack Show. In November of 2015, Dodge was commissioned to create two paintings for the new waiting room of Saratoga Hospital’s surgery wing.
Artist, Constance Dodge, has taught Fine Arts for thirty-one years. While the majority of her experience has been dedicated to developing the artistic talents of high school students, she spent two years teaching full time at Adirondack Community College. I am an oil painter of still lifes. My goal is to capture the light and local color of my subjects and maintain a freshness in my work by painting from life and working alla prima. The object of my painting is to simplify the form. This allows me to focus on those qualities that attract me to the subject. Painting fills me with the visual excitement of what I see and the challenge is what drives me to work harder. I hope to share these experiences with those who view my paintings.

Audrey Grendahl Kuhn was born in Chicago and grew up in Detroit. She graduated from the University of Michigan’s College of Architecture and Design. For 10 years, during the 1980’s, she exhibited her serigraphs with intaglio embossing at Art Expo New York at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. While at that show she sold her original multiples to corporations and galleries thri oughout the U.S. and the world. The subjects were abstract and landscapes.
The 10 years from 1996 to 2006 she spent winter months in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, where she began pastel painting the people of Mexico and the vibrant landscapes there.
Currently, the artist is painting pastels of florals, still lifes, and landscapes of the northeastern U.S. where she lives. She is listed in “Who’s Who in American Art” and is a juried Associate Member of the Pastel Society of America in New York City.

Miller has always had an interest in the play of light on objects, and the strong illusion of three-dimensions on two-dimensional surfaces. Highly resolved paintings encourage the viewer to consider the subtleties of the images, and slow down and take the time needed to make associations.
Her recent work uses miniature toys as actors and backyard gardens as stages, creating enigmatic scenarios for the oil painting series, Garden Stories. These paintings combine a long-standing interest in dioramas since her childhood in Chicago, with preoccupations about current events, especially environmental and geo-political tensions.
Past series include portraits of chairs, and, daily life in China. Chairs were paired with historical and modern artists who seemingly share or reinforce each other’s personality and even mood. Flowers are included to provide a visual bridge between the subject and representation of a well-known work of art. With a nod to early daguerreotype portraits of family members, the backgrounds are kept plain, and the subject looks directly at the viewer. The gouache paintings on paper were inspired by Miller’s experiences and various travels to People’s Republic of China, where, as Visiting Skidmore College Professor, she taught Western-Style Oil Painting at Qufu Teacher’s University. Miller also served as guest curator of “Beijing Now: Oil Paintings by Twelve Chinese Artists” at First Street Gallery, and faculty curator for “Brushing the Present: Contemporary Academy Painting from China” at the Tang Teaching Museum.
